Once I received the text from Faye that she was having contractions and heading out to the hospital...I immediately went downstairs, packed up my camera gear and I was out the door. Who knew if #5 was going to just walk out. Remember, the Hanoians are pros at this. :-) This was the day I didn't want to miss.
Once I got to the hospital, it was just the waiting game...so every second was absolutely special --- watching Faye breathe through every contraction, Greg massaging her back to help ease the pain and feeding her ice chips, to the little kisses on her forehead, to the words of encouragement being whispered in her ear. It was definitely an honor being there to capture those moments leading up to the delivery. How often are you able to witness such a beautiful moment...
